About Ms. LaFoy
Hello!
My name is Timarie LaFoy, and I am the PCM high school band director. This will be my third year teaching at PCM. My first two years were filled with making connections with the students and grounding myself in the field of teaching instrumental music. When I'm not at school I love playing and coaching tennis. My friends, family, and education are the most important things in my life. My love for music and teaching has only grown stronger throughout my time at UNI and PCM. Music Appreciation
Course Description: Music Appreciation courses survey different musical styles and periods with the intent of increasing students’ understanding of music and its importance in relation to the human experience. Music History/Appreciation courses may focus on how various styles of music apply musical elements to create an expressive or aesthetic impact. Students also have the ability for informal music performance and creation within the classroom.
